Game of Thrones star joins Jennifer Garner in mystery drama

The iron Throne Star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has signed up for his next project.

The actor, who played Jaime Lannister in the series, will join Jennifer Garner on Apple TV+ The last thing he said to me.

The show, based on the novel by Laura Dave, follows “Hannah (Garner), a woman who strikes up an unexpected relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter, Bailey (Easttown Mare and Spider-Man: No Coming HomeAngourie Rice) while searching for the truth about why her husband (Coster-Waldau) mysteriously disappeared,” according to Apple TV+.

Dave adapted his novel for the screen alongside husband Josh Singer, who won an Oscar for his screenplay of the 2015 film Projector.

In addition to starring as Hannah, Garner will also executive produce the series, alongside Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, Witherspoon’s production company. The series will be directed by Olivia Newman, who will also serve as an executive producer.

Since The iron Throne completed in 2019, Coster-Waldau has kept busy, starring in several films including Domino and against the ice, as well as registration for a television adaptation of A second home by Christina Clancy.

A release date for The last thing he said to me has not yet been confirmed.

In other The iron Throne-related news, spin-off Dragon House released a full trailer, giving us our best look at the new series.

The clip sees members of Houses Stark, Velaryon, and Baratheon swear loyalty to the platinum-haired King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine), the first ruler to sit on the Iron Throne.

Alongside Considine, the cast also includes Doctor Whothis is Matt Smith, slow horses and Loan player oneby Olivia Cooke and Spider-Man: No Coming Homeby Rhys Ifans.

The iron Throne seasons 1-8 are available on DVD and Blu-ray. Spin off Dragon House is filming and will premiere in August 2022 in the UK.
