Netflix loves its book adaptations, and the latest announced to receive the original series treatment is the new First murder. Filming took place throughout the second half of 2021 and will arrive on Netflix in June 2022.

First murder is an upcoming Netflix Original teen fantasy drama written and created by VE Schwab. The original is based on Schwab’s short story of the same name, which was published in Imprint’s Vampires Never Get Old: Tales with a Fresh Bite.

Felicia D. Henderson, who previously worked on series such as Empire, Gossip Girland The Punisheris the showrunner of First murder. Henderson will also write and serve as executive producer.

Emma Roberts and Karah Preiss via Belletrist are executive producers via Belletrist Productions.

What is the plot of First murder?

To take her place in her powerful family of vampires, teenage Juliette must make her first kill. When Juliette sets her sights on the new girl in town, Calliope, she bites off more than she can chew when Calliope is revealed to belong to a family of esteemed vampire hunters. The vampire and the hunter soon learn that the other is not so easy to kill, but much too easy to fall in love with.

What is the total number of episodes?

It has been confirmed that the first season of First murder will have a total of eight episodes with each episode confirmed to have a running time of around 60 minutes.

What is the production status of First murder?

We weren’t sure when filming First murder officially started. Some reports suggest that filming for the first season started around the end of April 2021.

The series would have entered post-production at the end of January 2022 on the 28th.

Filming took place primarily in Georgia in the United States. Specifically, some suggest filming took place in Savannah and East Cobb.
