‘Nikamma’ Trailer Promises Classic Bollywood Masala Artist Mixed With Action, Drama And Comedy

Mumbai, May 17 (IANS): The trailer for “Nikamma” starring Abhimanyu Dassani, Shirley Setia and Shilpa Shetty was unveiled at a multiplex in Mumbai’s Juhu district on Tuesday.

The film was directed by Sabbir Khan, who has previously directed films like “Kambakkht Ishq”, Tiger Shroff’s debut vehicle “Heropanti” and “Baaghi”.

The trailer launch began with a special AV which showed Abhimanyu making his way to the theater audience as security personnel failed to recognize him as the film’s male lead.

Later, while making the dramatic entrance to the event, he revealed that AV was inspired by a real-life event when security personnel at the Toronto International Film Festival blocked him from attending the premiere of his first film “Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota”. because they didn’t know he was the hero of the film.

The event also saw a special video message from Shilpa’s mother, Sunanda, on the actress’ return to the big screen after a 14-year stint. The video left Shilpa with tears in her eyes.

‘Nikamma’ is billed as the Action Artist of the Year, bringing Abhimanyu into a fierce and action-packed avatar.
