Reasonable Doubt: Hulu Teases New Kerry Washington Legal Drama Series (Watch) – Canceled + Renewed TV Shows

Reasonable doubt is coming to Hulu in September. The new legal drama comes from Kerry Washington (Scandal) and the streaming service released a preview. The series follows a freelance defense attorney (Emayatzy Corinealdi) who takes on the Los Angeles justice system. Victor Rasuk, Christopher Cassarino, Brooke Lyons and Eugene Byrd will play key recurring roles on the series.

Hulu revealed more about the upcoming series in a press release.

“Executive Producer and Director Kerry Washington Gives Us a First Look at Onyx Collective’s New Legal Drama ‘Reasonable Doubt,’ Premiere tuesday september 27only on Hulu.

In “Reasonable Doubt,” you’ll judge Jax Stewart (Emayatzy Corinealdi) for his questionable ethics and savage interpretations of the law…until you’re the one in trouble. Then you’ll see her for what she is: Los Angeles’ brightest and most fearless defense attorney who opposes the justice system at every opportunity.

Raamla Mohamed leads the show’s all-black writers room and produces alongside Kerry Washington and Pilar Savone for Simpson Street and Larry Wilmore through Wilmore Films. Washington is also directing the first episode. The series is Onyx Collective’s first scripted drama and is produced by ABC Signature, part of Disney Television Studios.
