The Take Two Drama Club at Sussex Central High School will perform the Neil Simon comedy “Fools” with special permission from Samuel French on Friday, February 11 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, February 12 at 2 and 7 p.m. will take place at the Center for Visual & Performing Arts at Sussex Central High School, 26026 Patriots Way in Georgetown.
“Fools” is the story of Leon Tolchinsky, who landed a teaching job in an idyllic Russian hamlet. What he doesn’t know is that the town has been cursed with chronic stupidity for over 200 years, and it’s Leon’s job to break the curse. No one tells him that if he stays in the village for more than 24 hours and doesn’t break the curse, he too will become stupid. Complications also arise when Leon falls in love with his student.
