The Casualty star’s new ITV drama hits the release window

After announcing a show created and written by former Victim Star Jamie Davis had been ordered by ITV, we finally have details on when to expect him on screens.

Jamie played doorman Max Walker in Victim from 2013 to 2018.

The series, called You me, is produced by A very English scandalby Dominic Treadwell-Collins and It’s a sin – and new Doctor Who – boss Russell T. Davies.

Taking to Instagram, Davies wrote: “YOU AND ME written by Jamie Davis, for ITV 2023. A beautiful, fun romantic storyline about love and loss and the chance to start over. Great actors, great people, I am very excited.”

He added: “And congratulations Jamie (he played Max the doorman in Victim, dated Zoe, the boat blew up at their wedding, yes, him) on his very first screenplay, his very first commission. New writers can get prime time slots, well done ITV!”

Not only that, the image accompanying the caption also shows the title of the first episode, “How We Used to Be”.

Previously speaking about taking over Davis’ show, Davies said: “I’ve read hundreds of scripts, but this one shone through the rest. It’s an honor to help Jamie bring this to the screen – it’s funny, fast, smart and heartbreaking, everything you want a drama to be!”

A synopsis for the show reads: “You me is the story of finding love when you least expect it. Jess, Ben and Emma all experience tragedies that they think they will never overcome.

“Ben is having the worst time of his life the day he becomes a father, Jess misses a bus and changes his life forever, and the day Emma is offered the job of her dreams, her nightmare begins… Can they find hope and love in the future – or will the past always hold them back?”
