The Chi: Season 6; Showtime Renews Lena Waithe Drama Series – Canceled + Renewed TV Shows

A select group of Chicago residents will return for a sixth season on Showtime. The cable chain is renewed The Chi for another year. The fifth season ends on September 4.

A drama series created by Lena Waithe, The Chi The TV show stars Jacob Latimore, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Shamon Brown Jr., Michael V. Epps, Birgundi Baker, Luke James and Curtiss Cook. The fifth season of The Chi averages a 0.07 rating in the 18-49 age group and 205,000 viewers. Compared to season four, this represents a 3% drop in the demo and a 31% drop in viewership in the Live+ same day ratings (including DVR playback until 3:00 a.m.).
