Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) India, the tourism arm of the Republic of Korea under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has announced the reopening of South Korea to all Indian travelers. A host of important initiatives recently announced by KTO India will allow more Indian travelers to access South Korea’s luxury market, business leisure and learning experiences.
With over 130 unique activities and experiences, the country offers something for everyone. While Jeju Island and Gyeongju are favorite destinations for tourists for their scenic beauty and traditional charms, metropolitan cities such as Seoul, Busan, and Incheon are ideal for business and leisure travel. For luxury travelers, the organization is planning roadshows in the twin cities in August with the participation of DMC from Korea. The roadshows will offer insight into the country’s rich culture, unique locations and culinary offerings.
Considering the growing popularity of Hallyu or Korean Wave in India, Hallyu-themed filming locations and experience centers are also being developed. One such center is the HiKR Ground extended reality (XR) playground in Seoul, South Korea, which was recently opened in July 2022. The reopening of borders will give K-Pop and K-pop fans -Drama the opportunity to explore the culture of the country. they have learned to love.

To make travel more accessible, KTO launched the Let’s Go Korea savings plan in association with Shinhan Bank in India. This is a recurring deposit system to help potential travelers to South Korea save for their trip, with special interest rates and additional benefits. With a minimum deposit of INR 2,000 per month for one year, members can avail the benefits of Utazzo Travel to book their trip to Korea. The investment will act as a regular recurring deposit in case a member is unable to travel to Korea after one year.
